Dr Abdel Wahab Meri specializes in Internal Medicine with the following areas of interest: hypertension, Diabetes, Dyslipidemia (cholesterol), infections, and common dermatologic diseases.
Dr. Meri is an assistant clinical professor at Wayne State Medical School where he teaches students and residents.
Dr. Meri performs some dermatologic office procedures including skin biopsies, mole removal, cryoablation, treatment of Alopecia. He also performs joint injections (Corticosteroids).
Philosophy
Dr. Meri believes in diet and exercise as initial approaches to many diseases like Diabetes, Hypertension, Dyslipidemia (cholesterol), and Heart Disease but when that is not enough to control these diseases then medications will be initiated. The patient is always part of the discussion and his/her input is valued tremendously.
Education
He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Wayne State University, Medical Degree from Wayne State University, and Internal Medicine Residency from Wayne State University/Detroit Medical Center (Detroit Receiving Hospital, Harper Hospital, Veterans Hospital-Detroit, Hutzel Hospital).
